Some Parts Of Kidi’s ‘Odo’ Lyrics Make No Sense – Lucky Lawson
Actress Luckie Lawson has expressed dissatisfaction with the lyrical content of Kidi’s hit song ‘Odo’ and took to social media over the weekend to poke fun at the rising musician.
According to her, part of the song which glorifies death over life doesn’t smack a sense of maturity.
In that part of the song, Kidi reveals he does not mind dying for his lady’s love. But Luckie thinks that it’s a “high school” assertion.
“Kidi so you said because of love if you die it’s nothing. That’s high school talk. OK. You wait, if you grow, then you will know love is foolishness. You will say Luckie said it,” Luckie Lawson said on social media on Instagram and Facebook on Saturday.
The post generated a lot of reactions on both Facebook and Instagram, with most people making fun of the artiste, while others say Kidi will grow up to know the truth.
Efya walks out of interview after she was told Nigerian jollof is the best
Over the weekend, Ghanaian music diva Efya was in Lagos as she was billed to perform at the 2017 Buckwyld n Breathless concert.
As part of her media tour, she came by the NET for an interview where she spoke about her affiliations with Wizkid, the Starboy imprint, challenges in the Ghanaian music industry and also hinted on releasing a new project.
During the interview, we put the singer on the spotlight by asking her if she thinks Nigerian jollof is better than Ghanaian jollof and her reaction was… she walked away -for a short while.
The Jollof war between Nigeria and Ghana has been ongoing for the longest time and it is expected that the singer would come to the defence of her people.
The battle between Nigerian and Ghanaian Jollof Rice has reached almost epic proportions online.
There is a constant argument on Twitter between Nigerians and Ghanaians over which country has the best Jollof Rice.
Nigerians scored a lot of points in the Jollof Rice debate when Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg visited Nigeria in August 2016 and gushed about the country’s Jollof Rice.
I’m too ‘jeje’ for Bukom Banku – Sista Afia
Highlife artiste, Sista Afia has said she is too ‘jeje’ for Bukom-based boxer Bukom Banku.
She made this known in an interview with Pulse.com.gh’s David Mawuli.
When asked if the brand of Bukom Banku is the best of brands, Sista Afia however, said she cannot determine the brand direction for the boxer who was currently defeated in a well-publicized bout against Bastie Samir.
She said “I’m not the right person to determine whether Bukom Banku’s brand is good or not. He’s just doing what he has to do and I’m not in the position to decide for him. Basically, he has to do what he has to because it’s his own life and career.”
Delay Ruined My Music Brand – Mzbel
Mzbel, Ghanaian songstress, has expressed her utmost disappointment in Delay on the GHOne TV’S RythmzLive show hosted by Berla Mundi. To her, she gets disappointed anytime she sees Delay.
If you could remember, the alleged amorous relationship between Mzbel and Prince Kofi Amoabeng, former UT Bank boss was confirmed by the former via an interview on the DELAY Show.
According to the songstress, during the interview on the Delay Show and the host, Deloris Frimpong Manso aka Delay asked a sarcastic question about her amorous relationship with Prince Kofi Amoabeng whereas she also answered sarcastically.
“Delay asked a sarcastically question about my relationship with Kofi Amoabeng and I also gave a sarcastically answer to her.”However, right after her response to the question, she immediately told Delay that her relationship with Kofi Amoabeng was just normal as they usually hung out or go out.
“I, however, explained to her right after my earlier sarcastic answer that the relationship existing between Amoabeng and myself was just a normal one where we just hang out.”
Her disappointment came in when Delay decided to edit and take off certain parts of her answers and only dwell on the sarcastic side even to the extent of using it as advert. Mzbel told Berla Mundi that she and her manager approached Delay about it but nothing positive came out.
“My manager and I approached Delay and drew her attention on how she (Delay) edited the interview and it’s affecting her brand but delay seemed unconcern. Delay is only interested using that part to promote and sell her show”, Mzbel stated.
Well, it seems Mzbel is not the first person to express his outmost disappointment in Delay pertaining to how she edit interviews to satisfy her parochial interest. Not long ago, Joyce Blessing, a gospel musician, had a bone of contention with Delay for similar claims.
“I Fed And Clothed Lil Win,When He Started,Kwaku Manu
Kwaku Manu seems hurt and surprised at how Lil Win has changed from the friend he knew him as. According to Kwaku Manu, he helped Lil Win to make it in the film industry. In a new interview on Thunder TV, Kwaku Manu recounted how he fed and clothed Lil win when he started his acting career and didn’t have much.
Kwaku Manu says he cannot grasp the reason why he Lil Win has allowed the fetish priest to control him soo much and even to the extent of breaking up his marriage to his wife.
Just recently, Lil Win’s fetish priest, Top Kay released a new song which was an attack on several Kumawood actors including Kwaku Manu. In the song, Top Kay called Kwaku Manu a failure, Vivian Jill a lesbian and Emelia Brobbey a thief.
Kwaku however believes, Top Kay attacked him because he (Kwaku Manu) danced to the hit song ‘One Corner’ at a time Lil Win felt he was at odds with Patapaa.

Stop Calling Yourself Shatta Wale’s Wife-Lutterodt Hits At Michy
“Stop calling yourself wife of a man you just have a baby with because you are not yet his wife but a mere baby mama.”
The above statement was a harsh advice from controversial counselor, Rev. George Lutterodt, the man of God who has opinion on everything topical, to the mother of Shatta Wale’s son, Majesty.
Counselor Lutterodt, is not happy the mother of one keeps referring to herself as wife of self-acclaimed dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale, when the so called husband, has not paid her bride price.
According to him, it is inappropriate for Diamond Michelle Gbagonah aka Shatta Michy, to parade herself as though she was married to the artiste real name, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr.
Speaking on celebrity marriage breakups on “The Pundits” show hosted by George Quaye on GhOne recently, the Man of God said, he feels uncomfortable whenever Michy, addresses or is referred to as such especially when the man she calls her husband, says he will marry at old age.
He therefore called on the “Cocoa Brown” actress, to desist from that wishful thinking.
Shatta Wale is on record to have said he will marry, when he is old to avoid frivolous expenditure on what he described as ‘unnecessary things’.
The artiste holds the view that, when one marries at younger age; it subjects the marriage into “chilling and clubbing” and also “cheating”.
Shatta is reported to have said, “I will get married when I am very old, because, at that age, my wife would not be able to cheat on me. She won’t be able to also go clubbing.”
Basing his argument on the utterances of the artiste, Counselor Lutterodt forcefully posited “The pain is that Shatta Michy should stop calling herself a wife so that her soul will rest in peace. You can have ex-wife; ex-husband but you can’t have ex-children.”
“Shatta wale went on air and said he was not going to marry now but will do so after 60 years. Shatta Michy comes to speak like she’s a wife while she’s a baby mama, you see the difference here? Then the man comes out and tells us that, he will marry at age sixty so what are you in that house?”
He went on “And when you say (referring to the host) people are hiding things in secret, you can be keeping things and be saying it’s my privacy, it’s my privacy, but those who are learning from you, those who are seeing you as a role model, they are learning something that one day, when it comes out, they will feel hurt.
Because for me, naturally, for that statement to have come from Shatta Wale, until he pays her bride price, like bull dog just said they are not married”.
Counselor Lutterodt was on the show with Sally and artiste manager, Lawrence Asiamah Hanson, alias Bull Dog.

Police Hunt for Leakers of Afia Schwarzenegger’s Sex Video
Officials of the Ghana Police Service are working behind the scenes to get persons involved in the leakage and circulation of alleged sex tape of Afia Schwarzenegger arrested, NEWS-ONE has gathered.
The controversial radio and TV personality has been trending on some media circles and online platforms since Wednesday, following the leakage of the alleged sex tape in which she was caught with another man.
The alleged sex tape was reportedly recorded by her husband, Mr Lawrence Abrokwah, who caught her and the other man in bed.
Circulation of nudity is unlawful in Ghana. So far, no one has been arrested over the leakage though fingers are being pointed at Afia’s husband who has already been interrogated by the police.
As of Thursday night, no media house had published the said sex video, as what are in the public domain are just snapshot photos collaged into a video with background voices of Afia and her husband confronting each other.
In that video, Afia Schwarzenegger is seen wearing a headscarf and clad in a white towel trying to shield her private parts from the preying lenses of the camera. The accompanying audio captured Afia admitting to borrowing money for her wedding.
She is heard screaming and wailing while her ‘husband’ quizzes, “Is that how you are?”
Mr Abrokwah quizzes her further whether he married her to be engaged in infidelity.
Then the actress went ahead to disclose that she borrowed money to organise their wedding.
Other snapshots in circulation captured the man who was caught in the act with Afia.
The shots show the man covering his nakedness with a blanket, probably shying away from the camera. The man whose name is not readily known allegedly fled from the room in only a pair of black boxer shorts. He is believed to be in his early 40s.
According to reports, Afia’s husband said he has been suspecting the extra marital sexual escapades of his wife until he caught her red-handed with the said man.
When Lawrence Abrokwah walked into the room, both were naked and under a green blanket with some multi-coloured strips, the report said.
The outspoken Afia Schwarzenegger is yet to speak on the trending matter but she left a social media post saying she is now single, and suggesting that Mr Abrokwah is a gold digger.
She wrote, “I am single…ready to date your father! Nice breast, nice ass, not for broke men…Massa get a job, and take ur eyes off my money.”
On Thursday, Kwaku Bonsam jumped into the controversy by recording a Facebook video to curse the person or persons who leaked the videos of Afia’s brouhaha and that of Rashida Black Beauty.

John Mahama ‘paid’ for Afia Schwarzenegger’s house – Maurice Ampaw
The documents covering the house is in Afia’s name, the husband topped up the proceeds from the sale of an SUV car President Mahama gave her so it is not true she alone bought that house”, Maurice Ampaw alleged.
Ghanaian lawyer, Maurice Ampaw says former President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama indirectly paid for Afia Schwarzenegger’s house.
Valentina Agyeiwaa sold an SUV car which was gifted to her by Ex-president to acquire a house but the money wasn’t up to the price of the house.
Speaking to the media today, September 8, 2017, he said his client and ex-husband of Afia added an undisclosed amount before she could secure the house. The once adorable couple thus are co-owners of the house.
He admits all documents of the house bear the name of Afia Schwarzenegger, but said claims she is the sole owner of the property are untrue and leaves much to be desired
“The documents covering the house is in Afia’s name, the husband topped up the proceeds from the sale of an SUV car President Mahama gave her so it is not true she alone bought that house”, he alleged.
He also revealed how he made attempts to settle the impasse between the couple which resulted in Afia Schwarzenegger parading the neighborhood naked and hurling insults at them with threats she was going to curse anyone who tried calling for a truce.
According to him, ever since the misunderstanding ensued between them, Afia threatened to jail the husband for taking video of her nudity indicating that it is obvious that Afia married the guy because of his good looks.
On whether both are divorced, he said: “There is nothing like separation of marriage in our laws. What Afia did can’t be justified in any way”.
Speaking to the media, Maurice Ampaw stated that “I’m the lawyer for the man because I don’t support women who cheat on their husband.
Funny Face recounts how his ex-wife cheated on him!!!!!
I grew up in a typical ‘conservatist’ Ghanaian society where the man is not expected to cry when he is in pain.
“Barima nsu,” they say.
In fact, even with both sexes, when someone has lost a loved one, property or has gone through any unpleasant situation, and they shed tears, they are asked not to cry.
However, research shows that crying when in pain makes one more relieved of whatever emotions they are engulfed in.
So any time you feel like crying, cry!
This is exactly what Funny Face seemed to have done recently [not literally] – an act that has caused him to apologise to Ghanaians.
This Is Why Funny Face Needs A Counsellor
About a week ago, an issue concerning Funny Face’s failed marriage which was rife in the media circles after their divorce in 2016, got re-ignited on Neat FM.
Ghanaian comedian, Funny Face, told Kwasi Aboagye in an interview that his ex-wife Elizabeth Ntim, whom she married in 2014 cheated on him about 36 times.
This became topic issue in the entertainment arena and people started expressing divergent opinions about the matter.
Funny Face had said he did not take time to know his ex-wife Elizabeth Ntim; he was infatuated by the woman’s voluptuous body and decided to marry her.
Since the issue broke, I have heard a lot of people insult Funny Face and the wife. While some are chastising Funny Face for ‘stupidly’ getting married to physical attributes and not character, others have also gone on the ‘women-are-wicked’ mantra, calling the woman names.
The ‘spoof’ story
There was a story that reported that Elizabeth, Funny Face’s ex-wife had replied Funny Face’s rants by saying he was suffering from premature ejaculation and that he could only last for 2 minutes in bed.
The story suggested that the woman sought sexual gratification from other men because of Funny Face’s supposed weak performance in bed.
Many people fell for the ‘false’ news story and as usual, started passing funny comments. Even Funny Face responded to it in jest asking people to bring their sisters to try if truly he is a 2 minutes man.
Meanwhile, Citi Showbiz’s checks show that Elizabeth had not granted interview to any media network for that story and had not made that statement.
Funny Face apologises
Later, Funny Face took to Facebook to register an apology to his fans and the public for talking about the matter the manner he did. He believed he had overreacted and need to apologise.
For a long time, Funny Face had been tight-lipped on the details of the matter even when there were rumours of the supposed cheating by her ex-wife.
So what caused him to talk this time? Maybe Kwasi Aboagye deployed his wiles in ‘cowing’ him into answering his questions.
However prudent one may have seen his apology, I believe that it does nothing to the ordinary fan. I don’t care about whether he apologised or not. What matters most was for him to apologised to himself or his ex-wife for washing their dirty linen in public.
I am sure, if the woman should also speak, there are allegations she may level against Funny Face which will blow the minds of most people insulting her.
He needs a counsellor
Not all the people we see moving around hale and hearty are happy. I believe that Funny Face may be emotionally and psychologically traumatised now.
He needs someone whose expert counselling would salve the pain in him. I don’t know if he has one already but if he doesn’t he should get a professional one. One who would understand his condition and give him better counsel – not one who will insult him and make him feel like committing suicide.
Funny Face’s issue is one of the smallest of the many marital problems a lot of people are going through.
People have problems. Problems ‘dey’!
