I wish Ebony were my daughter — Oheneba Kissihijabhcg

It seems it’s not only young people who have fallen in love with Dancehall artiste, Ebony, the older generation seems to have caught the bug too.

One such person is Highlife musician, Oheneba Kissi, who describes her as the best among all the female musicians.

Although he is yet to meet her in person, Oheneba Kissi told Showbiz in an interview last Saturday he wished she were his daughter.

“I wish I had a daughter like Ebony because she is so talented and extraordinary. I would have pampered her, sang with her and showed her love like my only child, ” he said.

According to Oheneba Kissi, he has listened to songs from Ebony and he would choose her over all the female musicians in Ghana.

“The other female musicians are good but Ebony is much better. I don’t know how she does it but her voice is unique and everything about her is so cool,” he said.

The ABC Of Love hitmaker said he is more than willing to do a collaboration with Ebony anytime and any day because the 90s bad girl’s brand is super.

According to him, he would teach her a thing or two in music should their paths cross.

“For a musician like me to associate his brand with Ebony shows how much I admire what she is doing. She is doing so well and I’m rooting for her to win VGMA Artiste of the Year next year,” he said.

Switching to what he is currently up to, the Chartered Accountant, who last came out with an album in 2008 said he will be releasing a new one next year.

According to the artiste, who has 15 albums to his credit, he is studying the game to know which songs Ghanaians want because the music scene has changed now.

“ Gone were the days when I and some other musicians were all over the place playing shows and making the money but now we have a different crop of musicians who are doing fantastic,” he added.

Oheneba Kissi advised the young musicians to draw closer to the older musicians to tap into their knowledge to boost their careers.
